I would prefer to have allies be treated like party members: you can res them, but they'll have dp and become less and less helpful. Sort of a happy medium between the jack-in-the-box allies of EoTN and the "haha I died you have to start over" allies of the other campaigns.
GREYWIND, I'M LOOKING AT YOU.

Instead of whining to have the game changed to suit your poor builds, why don't you just post what you are trying to do and ask for some advice?

If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't bother reading my posts. I don't deal with with smart aleks like you.
And as for all the comments about people saying the game shouldn't be made easier...
THIS GAME IS NOT EASY FOR EVERYONE LIKE IT MAY BE FOR YOU! IF IT'S TOO EASY FOR YOU GO PLAY ANOTHER GAME IF YOU WANT A CHALLENGE! THIS GAME IS CHALLENGING ENOUGH AS IT IS!
Have a nice day.

GW is easy enough. If you can't beat a mission, learn to play...

yaya lets make it so if the ghostly hero dies in Dunes/Thirsty he can self res and we don't fail!

It is not like it is hard, having self-ressing allies in GWEN already make it far too easy because you always have extra people with you.

Is that Defend North Kryta?
Because if so, unless it's been fixed there's a bug that lets you finish the Titan quest there. Just ignore the "You've all failed" message and it'll res you back at the shrine. Then you can run to the Asacalon settlement and take out all the titans at your leisure, despite Greywind being as dead as they come.
oh and I'm still on

To be fair, I think Tender Wolf is only referring to NPCs that aren't supposed to be baby sat, like the extra hench that close off areas for you in Raisu Palace. But I still say it's doable, hell you can do it with H/H and still get masters.

just being able to flag allies would help. If you could stake them with the main group of henches It would keep Prince Leroy from certain doom. And since some of the missions require you to keep crap alive like the turles in hatchery self rez wouldnt always be an option.
If they are brought back with self rez could we switch it to reincarnation? I would like to see Danika come back a little prettier and less masculine.

Im not sure why your using Raisu palace as an example because that mission doesnt end if the NPC dies and concidering you loose the NPC once they do their "trick" anyway.
But im signed on having any and all NPCs auto res (once all creatures are away from them as in GWEN), because those kind of quests and missions where the NPC have to servive are the bain of GWs.
They are honestly the worst thing they ever put in it!

Although I've completed the missions that you have them I'd like to see The NPC's that help you defend(not the tree singers obviously) auto res like the juggernaughts because on hard mode they die too quickly holding back the enemy for 2 seconds.
On dzagnor bastion the Npc's should auto res so you don't have to put lots of them on one side to hold off the enemy because it's almost necessary to make the master of whispers a MM to get the masters reward.
On the other hand mission critical NPC's should not re-spawn(apart from the GWEN ones), so Togo,Danika,Mhenlo, ect. should lose you the mission the when they get killed.

Its not so much the defending of the NPC which is the issue. Its their absolutely lame AI and tendency to walk right into agro. There is a missions ingame where the NPC will walk into a group of hostiles, who then agro you and them.
Yet the NPC keeps walking and pulls another group from the other side and you have to contend with 2 groups attacking you and them. They end up dieing beacuse your being attacked, while they have walked off and got killed elsewhere.
Its not much to ask they stop and wait for you.
A perfect example is the Titan quest "Last Day Dawns" for how useless having to protect an NPC is! Have you tried that one? The last ever quest in prophercies.
Your expected to take on lvl26 char, lvl26 flame things and lvl28 titan which obviously breaks down into other titans in each mob. All that with a 4 man team and while keeping the NPC king and his aids alive. You can be trying to kill 3 chars, and a titan while the king runs off and agros another titan and another 4 char.
That is when we need this ability to have NPCs ress. How can you have that mechanism in one aspect of GWs and not the rest? it makes no sense!
That quest sums up the absolutely moronicness of having quests and missions that require you to protect an NPC. Its even harder since NO body does the titan quests and you have to rely on heroes. The issue being that heroes dont heal NPCs or not very well.
I tried it last night with 2 hero monks, myself and another hero. The king was dead within 5 minutes and only the second titan getting involved.
Yes you can take an 8 man team from TOA and walk there for an hour, but its designed to be done with 4 people and protecting the king with a limited 4 man team with heroes isnt fun.
Im sure it can be done.. but its not enjoyable.

I swear Kurzick women in general were a lot prettier before Factions came out, when they still had that settlement in Kryta...

nothing worse then ruines of surmia and ur monk and ele are out of energy and rurik keeps running ahead so u run ahead to help him and fail(obviously can be done in hard mode but is annoying)
or atleast have it where the NPC is like a fly just hangs around ur a$$ for the duration of the quest or mission not run ahead like some Noob warrior who cares less about a monks/eles energy (YES i realise im a warrior character myself, but im not one of those noob tanks)
and no i dont mean henchies, henchies should just be a normal Pug like need to be rez'd
